Summer of Fiction Writing

You can sign up for Holly's Summer of Fiction HERE.

I stumbled across novelist and writing teacher Holly Lisle years ago in a Google search. I was quickly hooked. Holly has a wonderful gift of helping writers jump from overwhelm to confidence. If you suffer from writer's block, Holly has some great tools to help jump-start your muse. She has some clinics to pay for and other classes for free. Summer of Fiction Writing is free.

Starting June 1st she is rebooting her Summer of Writing Fiction Challenge. It's a chance to make small goals and a place for accountability. And she even has a couple of clinics for kids and teens. I'm excited to do those with my sons this summer. Included are free workshops, visualization, designing your life around writing, etc. It's a great resource to enjoy over the summer months.

I'm so looking forward to this. I published my first epic-length romance on Wattpad in February right after one of my adult daughters came home from Dever and got engaged. My other daughter had announced her engagement in December. And just like that, I had two weddings in June within four days of each other to prepare for.

No pressure.

Between that, the mountains of paperwork involved in having a special needs son (my caboose), homeschooling my four teenage sons, and remodeling to sell our home (we won't mention I have no idea where we'll be moving to), I guess you could say the stress got to me. It has blocked me for months. The key to writing blocks like that is to not stay there too long. Well, four months have felt like an eternity! But with the wedding just a couple weeks away, I'm finally able to look beyond. And this writing challenge seems to be just what the doctor ordered.

I'll share my progress - I hope you'll tag along. And if you want to join in, just click on the link above (Did I mention, it's FREE?! Starving artist prices!!!).

Excited for June!  :)
